Where there's smoke there's fire. . .

Since 9/11, Brooklyn firefighter Griff Muir has wrestled with impossible feelings for his best friend and partner at Ladder 181: Dante Anastagio. Unfortunately Dante is strictly a ladies' man and the FDNY isn’t exactly gay-friendly. For 10 years, Griff has hidden his heart in a half-life of public heroics and private anguish.

Griff’s caution and Dante’s cockiness make them an unbeatable team. To protect his buddy, there’s nothing Griff wouldn’t do… until Dante is nearly bankrupt and proposes the worst possible solution: HotHead.com, a gay-porn website where uniformed hunks get down-n-dirty… Now Dante wants them to appear there— together.

Griff may have to guard his heart and live out his darkest fantasies on camera. Can he rescue the man he loves without wrecking their careers, their families, or their friendship?

Congratulations Damon.
One of the best GFY M/M Romances I have read in a long time.
I hope there will be more in this series coming soon.

Author of the HardCell Series:

I would also like to say a big Congratualtions to Damon on his nomination and becoming one of the finalists for this book in the Goodreads Choice Awards 2011. He has gone through 3 rounds of voting and is now in the Final Round of voting in the Best Romance Catagory. It was the only M/M book nominated in any of the fiction categories. So please everyone join me in congratulation Damon on this huge feat and wishing him all the luck for the Finals due to end on the 30th November.

Random Image Search Part 7

Ok here is a new one on me.

I searched for something nice and warm as I was looking for a specific kind of picture (you'll understand when you read on).

When thinking warm and fuzzies, you really don't even comprehend the hot and steamy. Well at least I don't. It's one or the other, not both at the same time!

Well, I was thinking warm and fuzzies with a seach of; Good Luck and Happy Holidays. Really how hot and steamy could that be?

It seems I was taught a lesson with this one to always expect the unexpected, especially where the Internet is concerned.

What do you think??
Was I right to be shocked my warm and fuzzies could produce hot and steamies?
I'll leave it up to you to decide...

KPW's Book of the Week

Hi All,
I hope everyone has had a good week this week, and a goof weekend planned.
Me, I'll be getting stuck into more books.

Ever had one of those weeks when you don't know if you want to scream, cry, curl up in a ball, or just laugh at the irony of it all? Yes??
Yea, me too! One of those weeks!
But what better way than to read a truck load of books to put it to the back of your mind.
That was my idea anyway as you will be able to tell from this weeks list, there are a few.

So this weeks nominee's for the KPW's Book of the Week are:

1)

2)

3)
And the winner is:

Drum Roll Please!

Rocked to the core by traitors and spies, the Organization made an unprecedented move in bringing together six highly trained men to track down one rogue wolf: The Archer.

There are three field agents: one at the top of his game, one hoping to retire, and another walking the line; a cold-blooded assassin who can use any weapon known to man; a demolitions expert who can't resist the allure of fire; and a computer hacker with more tricks in his mouse than Houdini. This team is made up of the best of the best, and if it can't succeed in this impossible mission, no one can. But no plan survives first contact with the enemy - especially when you can't even find out who he is!

Despite what a cluster the assignment is from the start, the six men try to get their act together to track down the rogue operative, and in the process they discover there's more to life than the next assignment. Now it's up to them to survive by working together and determining who the real traitor is: an unknown friend, a close-by enemy, or the Organization itself.
Congratulations Abigail. Excellent book, complex and intriguing characters.

Erotic Anime Pirates

Did you ever think that the "Urg Argh" type of Pirates could be sexy? I honestly have some really bad stereotypical images in my head of Pirates.
But I also have this slight (ok huge!) thing for Anime Adult Movies (Hentai i think it's called - If I'm wrong please let me know).
Therefore, when I was doing some random web hopping and came across this picture on a Russian Forum I was slightly shocked and intrigued.
I think I might have to find myself a couple of hot Pirate books to read.
If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Wouldn't you just love to know their story?
Are they boat mates?
Are they enemies?
Is it Doctor and Patient?
Captain and his First Mate?

Awwww I'm going to daydreaming different scenarios for the bext few hours on this and see which I like the best and run with that for a while. :)

I would like to say that I do not own this image and if the owner would like to to remove this I will be more than happy to, my contact information is available at the bottom of my blog. I tried to figure out who the owner is, unfortunately the site I saw this on is in Russian and even Google Translator couldn't figure it out.

Random Image Search Part 6

Hi All

I've been at it again!

Who thought that just a nice word like LOVE could produce such random images?

Yes we all know that Love can be rather random, but to this point? Really?

I don't think I would put this image under the guise of Love more like Erotic.
It kind of makes me think of an Adult Version of "How to Train Your Dragon".

Let me know what you all think?

KPW's Book of the Week

I know I'm posting a little late this week. I wanted to get my book finished before I posted the KPW BotW. It's been a short week this week without much reading done. Therefore I only have a few books for the list this week.

I hope you all like my picks.

So this weeks nominee's for the KPW's Book of the Week are:

1)

After the death of his father, Grayson Conner finds himself running, Sunset Ridge Stables, a prosperous horse breeding operation just outside of Wellington, Arkansas. Since riding a horse for the first time, Gray has known running the ranch would be his destiny. Years spent watching his father negotiate and build the ranch into a highly respected operation prepared him well.

In need of a manager to oversee the hired hands, Gray hires Jack “Ram” Ramsdale, a sexy temptation that could spell nothing but trouble. For years, Gray managed to keep his sexual preferences away from the ranch, but the introduction of Ram into his life changes everything.

Ram fell in love with Sunset Ridge Stables the first time he stepped foot on the ranch with its rolling green hills and views to take a person’s breath away. The handsome ranch owner is definitely a bonus, but more than anything Ram is searching for a place to belong.

With temptation at his fingertips, Gray gives in to his feelings and begins an intense affair with his new manager. For a few blissful months he believes he can have it all, the ranch and a man he loves at his side. When local gossip threatens the reputation of the Sunset Ridge, Gray and Ram are forced to make an important decision. Give up their relationship or lose everything they’ve worked for.
